Pleasure cruising on the River Glen, running through the fens, crossing the village of Surfleet, which lies in South Holland, the district which voted second most extremely for Brexit, by 73.5 per cent of the popular vote on a high turnout of 75%. Only Boston ,the neighbouring district voted more extremely to leave the EU. They used to transport agricultural produce to the local railway station along the river. The station closed 50 years ago.
