A gift of Belgium a tapestry hanging in a corridor which was formerly the access point used by the press to the main UN press briefing room, now closed for renovations, as the sign on the door states. The whole building is shortly to be cleared as part of the $800 million renovaton and construction project at the Palais des Nations, the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), which is set to transform not only the buildings and their use but working practices as well.
