Remains of one of several camouflaged gun emplacements above a large bunker complex, above Realp in Uri Canton below the Furka Pass. The white building behind on hillside also belongs to the complex. Its windows are painted on. Historically this area, around Andermatt belonged to the National Redoubt, the final Swiss line of defence in the high alps, and is checkered with the remains of millitary installations, many of them underground, still camouflaged. Some are abandoned.
