Sri Lankan diplomat sitting alone at the United Nations Human Rights Council on the day it was announced that the council will abandon its present session due to the Coronavirus, following on from the announcement of a pandemic by the World Health Organization. The session, due to last through next week, had already moved to the Palais des Nation's largest room, the Assembly Hall, so that people could seated with enough space between them to reduce the risk of infection, with liquid for hand sanitizing made available.
